When flying still remains a dream for most of us, students of Deepalaya experienced a journey of lifetime
On the 6th Feb’11 fifteen students from Deepalaya, 12 of whom were Specially Challenged, took off on a “flight to fantasy” and landed at Jaipur and spent some memorable moments in the Pink City for the next 24 hours.. The trip was sponsored by the Le Passage To India (LPTI), a Travel and Tour Company as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility charter.
It was a moment of pride as the students were given a warm welcome by the Army at the Fourth Battalion, they learnt about the hardships faced by our soldiers to safeguard us at the shooting range area. The children had a gala time as they twisted their toes on the music played by the DJ, at the Army Camp. This followed by the visit to the Quarter Guard, where the students bowed their heads in the honor of martyrs, who sacrificed their lives in the war.
The students gained insights into our past through their visit to the Albert Hall Museum, which has the extensive collection housing the ancient royal belongings. The students marveled at the Egyptian mummy attracting all the eyeballs. They managed to capture the sight of the exquisite Hawa Mahal ,Jal Mahal and the sturdy Amer fort. They were amused to see various animals at the zoo. The students also enjoyed the delicious food at Rang Mahal, five star restaurants.
It was a totally elating tour, right away from the take off to the comeback. A complete revitalizing experience as the students enjoyed the trip to the core. They returned with the belief that “Dreams do come true; without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them”.
Our Sincere Thanks to Mr. Arjun Sharma M.D, Col. Anil Alagh, GM (CSR) and their wonderful Team at LPTI.
