Social Entrepreneurship

Tags: none

Social Entrepreneurship is an approach of Deepalaya. The Social Entrepreneur or SE is a person from within the community or from similar social milieu, familiar with its specific needs, strengths, challenges and dynamics. Such persons are trained over a period of time and they serve as local grass root consultants on matters like education, community health, community organization, skill up gradation etc. so that in course of time they get equipped to set up their own establishment (Social Clinics). In forming this cadre, Deepalaya makes its own contribution since these are human assets created and left behind in the community when Deepalaya phases out. In almost all intervention areas, the social entrepreneurs take up the non formal / formal education program.
