OLD STORY, NEW CHAPTER


February 5, 2009: Last August saw four youngsters - Dushyant Saraf, Naren Mansukhani, Dhrumel Shah and Chirag Kisani from Modern High School, Dubai completely at home for a week at Deepalaya Schools. These boys from well off families were on an exchange programme with Deepalaya and held nothing back as they forged new bonds of friendship with our children. They grabbed the opportunity to understand how less-privileged children from their own country were getting educated. The objective of their visit was to get insights of how the deprived endeavor to get ahead in life.Here, they shared their knowledge and experiences with our children. They variously taught them Science, Maths and Art and Crafts. Chirag helped them make friendship bands and tie them to their best friends. Dushyant shared many football tricks with the students, who were delighted to learn the same Before leaving for Dubai, the boys shared the experiences they had and how they will do their best to come up to the expectations placed on them.Today, the boys come back to Deepalaya with their experiences documented in form of these presentations. Techno savvy Naren was very happy with the response he received from the children at Deepalaya School, Sanjay Colony.

In his documentary he has Deepalaya children talk about themselves and their families. Naren also captured their experiences with Deepalaya and dreams they want to realize as they grow with the school in particular and the organization as a whole.

MY DAYS AT DEEPALAYAAn ever-so-involved-in-sports boy, Dushyant initially took on to teach basic Mathematics fundas to middle grade children. However, very soon he decided to expand.

Dushyant trained boys from Deepalaya Schools at Sanjay Colony and Kalkaji Extension in football. He wanted them to prepare for a full fledged match against each other.
