Deepalaya - Enabling Self-Reliance

Eight years old Ritika aspires to be a Nurse…..her ambition secured, a line of 40 patients, ALL ready to avail her medical services. Xbhpians, a group of bikers in their recent celebration of fourth birth anniversary insured themselves by choosing Ritika as their sponsored child, only if she could serve them in future.

Out of the many underprivileged children, that Deepalaya provides education to, Ritika is an addition to the family. A student of class fourth at one of the Deepalaya Schools, Ritika wishes to materialize her dream, only if she had enough money.

More than 40 xBhpians who met to rejoice the ride to Aravali Resort from New Delhi collected an amount of Rupees 8575/- that was enough to sponsor a child at Deepalya. The amount is collected in an interesting fashion wherein each main rider had to contribute Rupees equivalent to their bike’s CC (For instance, if it’s Karizma the contribution equals to Rupees 220/-, rounded off). All pillions shared Rupees 100/- each.

A certificate from Deepalaya on xbhp website displays xBhpians joy about their most sought after contribution. The amount shall take care of an year’s holistic development of Ritika, which xbhpians will like to continue for years to come.

Ritika hails from a family of six members. Her father’s annual income is Rupees 30000/- only, which is too less to nourish all the members of the family. Natives of Himachal Pradesh, Ritika’s family stays at ESI Hospital Colony, New Delhi.

Tender Ritika is unaware of the harsh realities of life. All she knows was that she had insufficient resources to manifest her dreams. A silent smile brightens her face as she realizes that now she can pursue her studies and become a nurse.

Her favorite subject is English and she is fond of reading books and playing football.

A small initiative of xBhp…….has gifted our nation with one more self-dependent and educated life. We heartily thank the benevolent efforts of the xBhpians whose initiative has provided a modest start to Ritika.
