A group of 12 people from AMEX– FCE (Financial Centre East) in their recent initiative of ‘Good Citizenship’ visited Deepalaya Gram on Gusbethi on 25th July 2007. They planted 50 Ashoka saplings around the hostel along with 20-25 Deepalaya children.

For the AMEX– FCE people it was an exquisite experience. Mani Jain, Manager, Global Reporting expresses the delight, “Oh, it was awesome! This was our first trip to the project and we were amazed to see the awareness of the children about the environment”. She further adds, “We are very impressed by the move and really love to be with Deepalaya children”.

And the children had all the more reason to burst with ecstasy. They enjoyed the plantation drive and were happy about their advancing a good cause. And the trees will indeed beautify the campus. In addition, the interactive session conducted with the children received immense applause from the visitors. The officials were speechless when children answered smartly to their questions.
Needless to say, the discipline, decorum and presentation of Deepalaya children haunted all present.. The AMEX team also visited the classrooms and personally interacted with the students. The interpersonal conversation with the AMEX people gave children a boost and made them feel special. Children were pleased to enjoy the feast by the AMEX people. The wafers and cakes and frooti’s brought a million dollar smile to their faces.
The visit to Gusbethi by AMEX– FCE people will be remembered for times to come, as and when the trees grow, Deepalaya will cherish its relationship with AMEX–FCE.
