With its mission of ‘Education for Self-Reliance’, Deepalaya has initiated a Loan Scholarship for students who find it difficult to pursue further professional education due to financial constraints. A revolving corpus fund has been instituted as a ‘Merit-cum-Means’ scholarship loan, repayable with minimal interest over a fixed period of time after the student passes out and gets gainfully employed. Meritorious students, particularly girls, wanting to enroll in courses like Nursing, MBA, Hospitality and Mass Communication are eligible to apply. Deepalaya will closely monitor the progress.
The first recipient of the Merit-cum-Means Loan, Mr. Anand Swaroop Yadav, who is pursuing his B.E in IT from Madhav Institute of Science and Technology, Gwalior was awarded a cheque for Rs.50, 000/-. Mr. Anand Yadav who is 21 years old and a resident of Gwalior has always been an exceptionally bright student throughout his school days.
