“Witnessing destines being rewritten”
Oriflame’s Global Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Magnus Brännström, along with Mr. Tomas Eriksson, Managing Director-Oriflame India and with some other officials from the company visited Deepalaya School Sanjay Colony (DSSC) on 6th Dec. Oriflame’s Girl Child project is sponsoring 1000 girl children’s education in four formal Schools of Deepalaya since July 06, out of which DSSC has 401 girl students enrolled under the project, aptly stating “Teach Me to Write and I will Write my Destiny”.

The Oriflame team was given a traditional warm welcome by the girl students. Poonam, a student of class 9th, recited and presented a poem written by her on the positive impact Oriflame project had made in her life, to the honorary guest. This was followed by a tour of the school in which the Oriflame team interacted with the students of different classes. The students of class 7th presented a small play emphasizing on the need of inclusion of ‘Differently Abled’ children along with other children, which was applauded by all. Mr. Brännström inquired children on what they wanted to be when they grow up and was visibly pleased to know that children had great aspirations about their future. He was also happy to see that the girl children enrolled in their project were using the bags provided by them. Children also showcased their creative side through display of handicrafts, charts, paintings and rangolis and presented Mr. Eriksson with a beautiful paper flower made by them.

Afterwards, the girl students presented a traditional Rajasthani folk dance which was enthusiastically acclaimed by everybody. At the time of departure warm thanks was given by the students and they also presented small gifts as a token of their love and gratitude to all the members of Oriflame team.

The visit concluded with comments from Mr. Magnus Brännström, “I am greatly pleased to see the progress made by these students and hope they are able to realize their dreams. I am glad Oriflame partnered Deepalaya in making a difference in the life of these children”
