Annual Day celebration held at Deepalaya School, Sanjay Colony was a befitting conclusion to the year long pursuit for perfection by both students and teachers. The school was decorated with colourful drawings and paintings made by students which set the mood for the festivity that followed. The function would have been incomplete without the customary Christmas tree and Santa Claus and so there was a beautifully decorated tree and one of the senior students dressed up as Santa.
The Chief Guest, Ms. Chameli Dewan, Guest of Honour Admiral Bhalla, Secretary & Chief Executive of Deepalaya, Mr. T.K. Mathew and Executive Director, Brig. Rajiv Williams graced the occasion with their presence. The programme that followed showed children performing dances, skits and singing. The scintillating performances by the students enraptured the large audience that had gathered to encourage the 135 participants of the day.
A Craft exhibition was also held which show cased the latent talent and skills of the students. The magazine ‘Rainbow’ which was also inaugurated had admirable pieces of literary work by the students.
Finally the day concluded with the distribution of prizes to the deserving students and parent in various categories. And indeed it was a day that would remain in the memory for a long time.
