Eight differently abled children of Deepalaya, namely Brijesh, Lalita, Sagar, Rakesh, Reena, Mahtab, Seela and Jyoti enacted the play “Ramayana” during Dussera celebrations. On hearing the story and their roles, they were excited and put their best foot forward. The colorful costumes they had to don for their roles were cause for much merriment. In the event, they executed their roles to near perfection despite having had few rehearsals. The audience too was caught in the festive mood of Dussehra, which is essentially the celebration of the triumph over evil. The climactic finale when Lord Rama shot an arrow into the effigy of Ravana which burst into multiple explosions signifying the death of Evil, brought a thunderous applause from the audience. The children impressed one and all with their theatrical capabilities.
