Ms.Ambika Nair, Deepalaya student receiving award
Maulana Obaidullah Khan Azmi, MP Rajya Sabha awarded Ms.Ambika Nair a student of class XI, Deepalaya School for her speech on the ‘Safety Of Women’. The occassionwas the National Safety Convention organized by the Safety & Quality Forum, The Institutions of Engineers (India). Ambika received a cash award of Rs 500/- and a certificate. And much more than that, many blessings and a tremendous boost to her confidence.
The Institution invited students from engineering and other schools and colleges to express their perceptions on ‘Safety’. A declamation contest was held at Deepalaya in which students of class 7th to 12th participated. Ambika was adjudged as the best speaker by external judges. She spoke on the ‘Safety of Women’.
Ms Shikha Pal, Principal Deepalaya School, Kalkaji proudly acknowledges “ Ambika is one of the best students of our school and scored well above others because of her excellent delivery, confidence, clarity of voice and overall presentation. Cheerfulness, creativeness, humility and concern for others are her high points”. In her own words, Ambika confidently declared that a woman’s safety lies “in a proper combination of literacy and legal support together with self-confidece in women which will automatically improve her status and make her safe and secure”.
