Rt. T. K Mathew presenting the ‘Best Parents Award’ to Mr. & Mrs. Singh

Sanju resides in the slum cluster of Sanjay colony. She belongs to a community where no space is given to a girl child to grow and to dream. Her life would have been confined within the periphery of domestic chores if Sanju were never gifted with her wonderful parents. Sanju’s parents Mr.Brijender Singh and Mrs. Vimla Devi, value the importance of Education. Mr. Brijender runs a small grocery shop but he dreams big for his four children. Sanju has three elder siblings. Her one sister and brother are studying in XIIth standard and one sister is studying in Xth standard. Sanju is a student of class VIII in Deepalaya Sanjay Colony School. Her parents are very enthusiastic to educate their three daughters and very actively advocating on Girl Child Education among the community. They are also keenly involved with Deepalaya’s educational activities. Even Mr. Brijender accompanied the school trip to Dalhousie in the month of June’05. For the year 2005, Mr.Brijender Singh and Mrs. Vimla Devi were selected as the Best Parents by Deepalaya School, Sanjay Colony. They received the award for supporting Sanju’s education and their concern on Girl Child education. This award was initiated from 2004 to encourage parents for supporting their children’s education. Mr. T.K.Mathew presented the award on the occasion of the Annual Day celebration of Sanjay Colony School.
