We believe that every child has a right to receive the best support and education possible. In order to fulfill this mission, we are reliant on the support of individuals, funding agencies and other well-wishers.
In order to make it most convenient for our supporters from the USA, a group of seven members (including sponsors and headed by Joseph Mathew, son of Rtn. T.K. Mathew) in 2000 set out to establish the Deepalaya Foundation in Houston, Texas.
Since then, our support base in the United States has been constantly growing, as every sponsor is now able to take advantage of the tax deduction facility under Section 501(C3).
Apart from individuals, the Deepalaya Foundation USA has enabled us to form partnerships with several corporations, e.g. Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard (HP). As part of their corporate social responsibility efforts, HP is matching each staff members� contribution to a good cause with an additional amount of money of the same value.
