Deepalaya - Enabling Self-Reliance

Dear Friends, we seek your support in ensuring Deepalaya’s participation in the VDHM 2007. You can contribute in any of the following ways-

• You can participate in the event as a Dream Runner. Your dignified status and philanthropic nature can help us in rewriting the lives of many unprivileged children especially the HIV+ve children who continue to live an unjustified life. To participate in Vodafone Delhi Half Marathon 2007, you need to raise Rs. 1 Lacs in pledges through your contacts. Every contribution will be acknowledged through a receipt and you can also avail the facility for 50% tax exemption U/S 80G of the IT Act. You signing up as a Dream Runner for the Marathon has to make a non refundable contribution of Rs. 10,000/- upfront to qualify. Along with many other distinguished Dream Runners, you will be participating in The Great Delhi Run covering a distance of 7kms and thereby help spread word about Deepalaya and its programs.

• If you are working or associated with a corporate, you can motivate your company to participate in the event through ‘The Corporate Challenge’ category, making Deepalaya the beneficiary of the event. It’s a golden opportunity for your company to come forward collectively in support of the ‘HIV & children”. To participate in the Corporate Challenge category, the company needs to do the following:
  • The company has to register by filling in a ‘Corporate Challenge’ Registration form along with a non-refundable contribution of Rs. 1.56 lacs which is donation towards the cause you support and also includes the entry fee for participation in the event.
  • Put together a team up to 30 runners, where each individual in the team may contribute by donating/raising a minimum amount in pledges. Contributions will have the facility of 50% tax rebate (U/S 80G of IT Act).

  Your company can display all its promotional material (banner/poster/handouts) at the Marathon venue. It’s a unique way to bring together your employees to show that you care for the HIV & children.

• For everyone who would like to do their bit and run for the cause of Deepalaya, can participate in The Pledger’s United category as an individual or as a team member of a school, college, community or residential society via a group entry, and can make a difference. You can register with Rs. 200/- as a participation fee and of Rs. 100/-, which also gets you the Pledge kit provided by the organizers, which enables you to raise pledges/contributions for Deepalaya’s children from your friends and contacts. All your contributions will have the facility of 80G (50% tax rebate) and 35 AC (100% tax rebate - donation to the project on health for children and all). Please issue the cheque in favor of Deepalaya

Incase the above categories don’t suit you but you wish to be part of this event of the year, you can make a donation for the cause “HIV & children”.

You can also motivate your family and friends to donate for the cause (Please fill the details of other donors in Pledge sheet format available). All your contributions will have the facility of 80G (50% tax rebate) and 35 AC (100% tax rebate - donation to the project on health for children and all). Please issue the cheque in favor of ‘Deepalaya’,
attach it with the Donation Format provided and mail it to the address given below. We will soon despatch your receipt and your tax exemption certificate and will keep you informed about the utilization of your contribution in Deepalaya’s work for the HIV & children.
